Future Energy Conference highlights innovations and partnerships
Virden among thought-leaders speaking at Seattle event
PNNL sponsored and attended the 5th annual Washington Future Energy Conference in Seattle on November 5, 2014. The conference drew about 350 attendees representing government agencies, utilities, advocacy groups, universities, and research institutions.
"We have all the pieces we need to make Washington and Oregon the clean-tech hub of the world. Now we need industry and state support," said PNNL's Jud Virden, Associate Laboratory Director of the Energy & Environment Directorate, during the panel on "Building a Clean Energy Economy."
The Future Energy Conference is a forum for learning, networking, and developing business within the region's clean energy industry. Washington State Gov. Jay Inslee delivered the keynote address, unveiling his clean energy vision for the state technology companies.
