Radiological and Nuclear Science and Technology Division

Mark Hanson
Division Manager
The Radiological and Nuclear Science and Technology Division provides process engineering and development in the laboratory and for large-scale equipment. We have a broad range of expertise in structural materials for nuclear energy, radiological materials research, fluid and computational engineering, and radiation and health technology. Our scientists and engineers are developing alternative waste forms, new ways of understanding process flow and materials that will stand up to use in nuclear reactors. Radiological and Nuclear Science and Technology staff have been instrumental in developing radiation protection programs at the Hanford Site in Richland, Washington, and other locations.
