Domestic Nuclear Detection Office commendation
Karl was recognized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) for his support of the Neutron Detection Replacement Program Test Campaign. His crucial support included developing and providing a backup data acquisition system for characterizing neutron detection module performance in radiation portal monitors.
DNDO is the primary entity in the U.S. government for implementing domestic nuclear detection efforts, integrating federal nuclear forensics programs, and coordinating development of the global nuclear detection and reporting architecture.
