FLC Interagency Partnership Award Team

Receive top honor from Federal Laboratory Consortium

EED staff members Dustin Caldwell, Glen Fryxell, Dennis Mullen, Jake Tucker, Jesse Willett and Kenneth Rappé (Principal Investigator), along with National Security Directorate colleagues April Carman (Project Manager) and Thomas Zemanian, have received the Federal Laboratory Consortium's Interagency Partnership Award. The team successfully applied Self-Assembled Monolayers on Mesoporous Supports (SAMMS™) technology to a Navy need. Navy partners included the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division Ship Systems Engineering Station and the Naval Sea Systems Command.

On new submarines, the SAMMS technology will be used to significantly improve air quality for sailors.

Congratulations!
