Biography

Ms Tran came to the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as a Post Bachelors intern in 1999 and was hired in 2002 as a permanent staff member. Her research interests include developing technologies, including non-thermal plasma-enhanced catalysis and thermal catalysis, for on-road and off-road vehicle emissions control, and stationary off-gases treatment, and developing technologies for converting by-products from bioprocesses to value-added products. Her other research interest involves developing adsorption technologies for capturing various air contaminants such as carbon dioxide, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and industrial toxic compounds.

Research Interests

  • Non-thermal plasma-enhanced catalysis and thermal catalysis technologies for on-road and off-road vehicle emissions control and stationary off-gases treatment.
  • Adsorption technologies for capturing various air contaminants such as carbon dioxide, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and industrial toxic compounds.
  • Thermal and catalytic processes for recycling and/or converting by-products from bioprocesses to value-added products.
  • Designing various bench-scale test systems and conducting laboratory experiments to investigate the fore-mentioned technologies.
