Martin Named One of the "50 Most Important Blacks in Research Science"

ETD Technical Group Manager Dr. Wayne Martin was named one of the "50 Most Important Blacks in Research Science" for 2004 by Science Spectrum magazine and Career Communications Group, Inc. This prestigious honor recognizes Wayne's contributions to research science and his commitment to education. For more than 25 years, he has conducted, directed, and led research in subsurface contaminant migration and waste storage. Wayne has also supported regional and national education activities, including the National Urban League's Black Executive Exchange, the WSU Tri-Cities Advisory Council, and the Black Engineer of the Year Awards Conference. Also, Wayne serves as Chair of the Columbia Basin College Board of Trustees. In 2003, he won the Fitzner-Eberhardt award for his outstanding contributions in science and engineering education. Congratulations, Wayne!
