Stenkamp and Wang Help PNNL Land $5.6 Million in Fuel Cell R&D

November 2006
Congratulations to ETD's Susie Stenkamp and Yong Wang, whose two proposals were among the 25 DOE-accepted hydrogen research and development projects aimed at helping change the way our nation uses power. The projects support President Bush's Advanced Energy Initiative, seeking to reduce dependence on foreign sources of energy through the research, development and deployment of new clean energy technologies. Stenkamp was awarded $1 million for her two-year proposal on low-cost manufacturable microchannel systems for passive water management. Wang was awarded $4.6 million for the development of alternative and durable high-performance cathode supports for fuel cells.
