Schmieman Commended for Work on Chernobyl Confinement Project

Eric Schmieman received appreciation from his contractor-customer for his outstanding work on the Chernobyl New Safe Confinement Project in the Ukraine. Eric served as the Environmental and Licensing Manger on the project team, and was extensively involved in proposal work, mobilization and set-up, project execution and project closeout. “Eric is one of the most outstanding professionals with whom I have had the privilege of working with in the past thirty years,” wrote Matthew Wrona, Bechtel. Eric was identified as instrumental in securing the award of the project to the contractor consortium. Through his in-depth knowledge of the latest computer tools and their innovative applications, the project benefited from improved efficiency and outstanding quality of work. Eric was praised for his initiative and presented information about the Chernobyl project at numerous technical conferences. His efforts contributed to the project being featured on the front page of the Washington Post, and over 160 newspapers around the world. Congratulations Eric for your excellent performance and contributions on the Chernobyl New Safe Confinement Project.
