Biography

Mike Schweiger specializes in the materials science field of glass and ceramics. His expertise is in glass processing and materials development. Mr. Schweiger, who joined the Laboratory in 1984, has worked with glass as a means for disposing of radioactive and hazardous wastes, as a sealing material for high temperature applications, as a means for transmitting light for photonic sensors, and for improving properties for processing commercial glasses.
