Rick Skaggs Joins Pacific Northwest Hydrologic Observatory Science Advisory Board

August 2005
Congratulations to ETD's Rick Skaggs on his invitation to join the Pacific Northwest Hydrologic Observatory Science Advisory Board. As a board member, Rick will work with other scientists in developing a proposal to the National Science Foundation for the creation of a U.S. Hydrologic Observatory in Oregon's Willamette and Deschutes watersheds. The Observatory will be a national facility to study water resources and hydrologic and ecosystem interactions. Rick will advise the design team on the Observatory's science framework, research themes, monitoring and instrumentation system design, and experimental design. Rick was selected for this position because of his research experience, technical skills, and his collaborations between PNNL and the Observatory design team. Congratulations again, Rick!
