Nanoparticle Dosimetry Research Graces Cover of Toxicology Journal

January 2007
Congratulations to ETD's Justin Teeguarden and Paul Hinderliter, and FSD's Galya Orr, Brian Thrall, and Joel Pounds on having their article on nanoparticle dosimetry featured on the cover of the February 2007 issue of Toxicological Sciences. The official journal of the Society of Toxicology, this peer-reviewed publication provides premier hypothesis-driven, original research articles in all areas of toxicology. In the article, titled "Particokinetics In Vitro: Dosimetry Considerations for In Vitro Nanoparticle Toxicity Assessments," the authors show that simple dose calculations can cause significant misinterpretations of cellular response and nanoparticle uptake data. Incorporating particokinetics and dosimetry principles would significantly improve nanoparticle toxicity assessments, increasing their predictive power and scalability. Congratulations, team, on this groundbreaking work!
