Michael J. Scott - One of More than 20 PNNL Researchers that Contributed to 2007 Nobel Peace Prize

November 2008
EED's Michael J. Scott was among the contributors to the global efforts of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which received the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, shared in equal parts with former Vice President, Al Gore. PNNL's climate experts have served as convening lead authors, lead authors, review editors and expert reviewers on IPCC reports. Influential research from PNNL is cited throughout IPCC reports. Scientists from PNNL also have contributed intellectual frameworks that influenced IPCC assessments and the broader climate change community in areas as diverse as integrated assessment, technology's role in mitigation, carbon dioxide capture and storage, and social science contributions in addressing climate change challenges.
