Doug Elliott Recognized by Biofuel Digest

February 2015

Energy and Environment's Doug C. Elliott was identified as one of the 'Top 125 People in the Advanced Bioeconomy' for 2015. Nominated and voted by the readers of the Biofuels Digest and the publication's editorial board, Elliott is a Laboratory Fellow in the Chemical and Biological Processes Development group at PNNL. He has worked at the Lab for over 35 years, primarily focusing on developing fuels and chemicals from biomass and waste. Elliott's research has included work in biomass liquefaction, hydroprocessing of product oils, and chemical production from renewable sources. Some of his recent work includes producing biocrude from algae, which led to two joint patents and a Federal Laboratory Consortium award.
