S-112 Saltcake Retrieval Technology Demo Science and Technical Support
The purpose of this project is to provide science and technical support to the S-112 Saltcake Waste Retrieval Technology Demonstration Project (S-112 project). Tank 241-S-112 is the first Hanford Site saltcake tank to be retrieved, and there are many technical issues to be resolved to support the successful completion of the project. The activities will be used in support of retrieval system planning, integration and design of the tank 241-S-112 saltcake dissolution retrieval system, leak detection monitoring and mitigation and process monitoring.
