NaK(78) Annular Linear Induction Pump (ALIP) Design and Consult

PNNL will perform a parametric study addressing Annular Linear Induction Pump performance over a range of parameters including flow rate, system base pressure, overall system pressure drop, operating temperature and environment and NaK(78) heat transfer medium.

Technical services will also be provided to the NASA Glenn Technical Project Manager in the key design parameters and aspects desired to maximize ALIP performance and efficiency and minimize ALIP weight.

An informal technical letter report that documents the ALIP parametric study will be provided to NASA Glenn. This report will include geometric configuration (dimensions and layout), weight, list of general materials of construction, required power conditioning and environment and theoretical performance envelope (power consumption, efficiency, flow rate and pressure as a function of voltage).
