Standoff Technology Integration and Development Program

The PNNL Standoff Technology Integration and Development Program (STIDP) is developing and testing a system to defeat person-borne improvised explosive devices using standoff technologies for the non-intrusive screening of unstructured crowds. Process Engineering and Development (PE&D) contributes to the STIDP project by developing and executing tests to obtain qualitative and quantitative data for the evaluation of supporting technologies. This includes generating test metrics, test plans and procedures, as well as test management and subsequent data analysis and reporting. PE&D plays a key role in creating video datasets which are used for product maturation, as shown below.
