Sustainability Strategy and Behavior

Helping organizations improve building performance in the context of the broader institution

It will take more than great technology to solve our country's energy problems. In many cases, it also requires changes in organizational policies, management practices, and behaviors to put the technology to work.

We work with agencies to develop holistic sustainability programs and to define strategies that integrate technology, policy, and behavioral solutions. We help our sponsors find synergies across energy, water, waste, and other sustainability performance objectives creating an optimized solution rather than manage each area in isolation.

We research institutional and behavioral change—with practical experience with sustainability efforts at the agency and site levels.

In addition to providing project-level support, we station several
team members on-site with agency sponsors to provide continual support that helps them address regulatory compliance and sustainability goals.

These team members provide longer-term programmatic support and offer targeted subject matter expertise in areas such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, and environmental resource management and a suite of quantitative tools and processes.
