Hanford Remedial Action Environmental Impact Statement (HRAEIS )
The Modular Risk Analysis approach was developed and implemented to conduct an integrated risk assessment of the Hanford Site for past practices and buried waste sites. More than 1400 sites were assessed to understand the holistic impacts to hypothetical and actual receptors on and surrounding the Hanford Site. The analysis was subdivided into 1 km x 1 km grid points that were analyzed for air, soil, groundwater and surface water media and the potential impacts. Results were a set of risk contour maps for different periods. These contour maps provide a three dimensional view of risk for the entire Hanford Site.
