Terri Gilbride joined PNNL in 1986 and works in PNNL's Portland office. Terri supports the U.S. DOE's Building America program. Building America activities include working with DOE’s building science research teams to develop best practices guides for builders and preparing case studies on research projects conducted with residential builders who are applying energy-efficient construction technologies and methods across the United States. Terri has worked on DOE's Solid-State Lighting (SSL) Commercialization Support program and has supported DOE’s Building Technologies program through numerous projects in support of DOE efforts to speed the market introduction and acceptance of advanced energy-efficient technologies in residential and commercial applications.

Before joining the Energy Science and Technology Directorate, Terri worked in PNNL's Communications department where her communications skills were put to work in support of numerous proposal, outreach, and reporting efforts for the Energy and Environment, and Fundamental Sciences directorates. Efforts there included producing annual reports for the Fundamental Sciences Directorate, a siting study for DOE's Global Nuclear Energy Partnership, web sites, NEPA documentation, two winning R&D 100 nominations, and numerous reports and journal articles for Natural Resources and other divisions.
