Jeff McCullough is a Senior Research Engineer with Energy Policy and Economics and has been with PNNL for 13 years. His main area of focus is in commercializing energy efficient technologies, particularly lighting and HVAC systems. Mr. McCullough led development of the first-ever ENERGY STAR® criteria for solid-state lighting and operates the Lumen Maintenance Test Facility which tests submissions for DOES's L-Prize competition. Presently Mr. McCullough is working in DOE's Federal Energy Management Program to move solid-state lighting into the defacto position for exterior purchases. He has extensive experience with residential and commercial lighting and HVAC system efficiency, operation and troubleshooting, knowledge of national energy codes/standards including ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1 and the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). He received a Presidential Energy Management award in 2004 for leadership in PNNL's campus-wide energy management program. Jeff is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional (CLEP) through the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). He is also Lighting Certified (LC) through the National Council on the Qualifications of the Lighting Professional. Jeff is a past President and on the Board of Governors for the Mid-Columbia Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
