Biography

Kate McMordie Stoughton is a research engineer with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, specializing in Federal water management. Kate currently leads the water efficiency program for PNNL. Kate is also the PNNL program manager for the Department of Energy's Federal Energy Management Program. Along with her program management duties, Kate's work includes the development of strategic plans for water management at Federal agencies, Federal policy guidance in water management, and development and instruction of water management training. Ms. McMordie Stoughton also has expansive knowledge on developing comprehensive facility level water evaluations, identifying implementation strategies for water conservation and efficiency. Ms. McMordie Stoughton provides water management expertise to Federal programs such as the Army Reserve, Department of Energy, and the General Services Administration. Kate has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado and is an Association of Energy Engineers Certified Water Efficiency Professional. She also is a member of the American Water Works Association.
