Biography

Delphine Appriou is a geoscientist who joined PNNL in 2010. She has over 8 years of expertise in many aspects of carbon storage projects (i.e., characterization, permitting, monitoring, transport). She has internally coordinated the efforts for the development of the four UIC permit applications for the FutureGen 2.0 project. These efforts were rewarded by obtaining the first ever Class VI permits for carbon sequestration in the United States. She provides technical and project management support on various projects related to carbon sequestration, environmental remediation, geologic site characterization, geothermal energy, energy security, and environmental assessment. She received a M.Sc. in Marine Geosciences (Geophysics) from the University of Western Brittany (Brest, France), and a M.Sc in Environmental Geology from the University of Paris-Saclay (Orsay, France).
