Qian Huang has over 15 years of experience in materials and processes development for energy storage and conversion applications such as lithium-ion batteries, redox flow batteries and solar cells. Before joining PNNL in 2011, she worked in Dow Chemical (Asia-Pacific R&D) with focus on new products and large scaled application development. In industry, she also achieved six sigma (Green Belt Project Leader) certification and acted as the Black Belt Coach. Currently her primary focus at PNNL is the investigation of reliability on energy storage systems (ESSs), and fundamental understanding the degradation mechanism of large scaled ESSs.

Dr. Huang has authored or co-authored more than 20 publications, including journal articles, conference proceedings and technical reports. She also holds 5 international patents.
