Biography

Dr. Vrabie has expertise in adaptive and optimal control, multi-agent systems, artificial intelligence and learning systems, and methods for distributed optimization, with strong building and HVAC system control application experience. At PNNL Dr. Vrabie is responsible for development of advanced control technologies applicable to intelligent and energy efficient buildings, power grid, and building to grid interaction.

Dr. Vrabie serves as Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology. She served as associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks from 2010 to 2013, Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control from 2010 to 2013, and for the IEEE International Symposium on Adaptive Dynamic Programming and Reinforcement Learning (ADPRL) part of the IEEE Symposium Series on Computational Intelligence, in 2013 and 2015.
