Biography

Charles has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington State University and a Master’s Degree in Biological Engineering, also from Washington State University. At Washington State University, Charles performed algae cultivation with bioreactors and extraction of targeted compounds from those algae species.

Charles joined the Energy Policy and Economics Group in 2016, working with technology tracking for EERE office programs. In addition to this work, Charles has also contributed to other areas within PNNL including cataloguing testbed capabilities for the Grid Management Laboratory Consortium, conducting reassessments on resource availability for bioenergy projects, and reviewing feedback on Energy and Water Army security measures.
