Biography

Thiagarajan graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Phd in Electrical and Computer Engineering (focus on distributed controls). His dissertation focused on developing distributed control architectures/algorithms for cyber-physical networks with applications to the electrical grid. Thiagarajan joined PNNL on Aug 2016 as a postdoctoral research associate and has been working on various DOE projects in various areas such as adaptive control/optimization of building power consumption, distribution system state estimation, and electricity market design.
