Biography
Sumitrra joined PNNL's Richland office in the fall of 2018 and is currently working on a wide range of energy economics and analysis projects. Prior to PNNL, she was teaching in the Department of Economics at the University of Maryland. She holds a BSc (with Honors) in Economics, an MA in Economics and a PhD in Economics with a focus on Monetary Policy and Applied Time Series Analysis. Her current work includes analyzing the market for 2nd and 3rd generation bio-fuels in India, developing a model to study the spatial diffusion of electric vehicles in the Seattle metropolitan area and model development to gauge the affordability of electricity for industrial and commercial consumers.
