Support Hanford Site Compliance with Radionuclide National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants

This project provides general support to the Hanford Site for permitting new facilities that may release radionuclides to the atmosphere. It also provides an annual analysis of the dose consequences of measured or estimated radionuclide releases from Hanford facilities to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements. In addition to the facilities assessments, PNNL developed methods to estimate emissions from diffuse sources at the Hanford Site and participated in special studies to evaluate the extent of those emissions under this project. PNNL also assists U.S. Department of Energy in resolving technical issues with regulatory agencies upon request.
